COVID-19 IN KAZAKHSTAN AND EAST KAZAKHSTAN REGION
New coronavirus infection that broke out in December 2019 in China spread throughout the world, and Kazakhstan was no exception. Issues of epidemiology, clinic, treatment for this disease are currently under study. The purpose of this study is to describe the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 in Kazakhstan and the East Kazakhstan region (EKR). Retrospective case study of COVID-19 was conducted according to the Committee for Quality and Safety of Goods and Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan from January to May 15, 2020 in Kazakhstan and EKR. The paper also presents analysis of the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of the cases of COVID-19 that occurred in Semey.
