Жаңа короновирусты инфекция ауыр дәрежедегі пневмониямен өтіп, респираторлы дистресс синдромымен асқынып, ол өз кезегінде летальды нәтежиеге әкелуі мүмкін. Ауыр асқынуларына сондай–ақ полиорганды жетіспеушілік,септикалық шок, венозды тромбоэмболия жатады.
