MULTIPLE MYELOMA (A CASE FROM PRACTICE)

Abstract

During the existence of the Soviet Union, numerous nuclear tests were conducted over a period of 40 years at the Semipalatinsk test site located in our region. Therefore, in our region, the incidence of malignant neoplasms, including malignant blood diseases, exceeds that of other regions of Kazakhstan by approximately five times.

In this regard, the problem of oncological diseases requires careful attention not only from oncologists but also from specialists in other fields of medicine. Bodies submitted for forensic examination, regardless of sex and age category, must undergo thorough investigation. If the above-mentioned signs are detected, it is mandatory to examine the endocrine glands, obtain a sternal punctate, and collect contents from long tubular bones for histological examination.
