COCHLEAVESTIBULAR DISORDERS IN THE POSTMENOPAUSAL PERIOD, TREATMENT OF TINNITUS IN PATIENTS
Keywords:
tinnitusAbstract
According to statistical data, 60–80% of women experience menopause in a pathological course in a state of estrogen deficiency. In this regard, a frequent reason for patients to consult a neurologist is the frequency of vestibulocochlear disorders, the main symptoms of which are dizziness and tinnitus. At the same time, pathogenetic therapy with betahistine (betaserc) at a daily dose of 48 mg with a complete course of treatment in postmenopausal women normalizes cochleavestibular disorders and reduces the pathological symptoms of the disease, thereby improving the quality of life of patients.
