MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE ORGANS OF THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT OF ANIMALS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF HEXANE AND WAYS OF THEIR CORRECTION

Abstract

Histological examination of the small intestine of rats subjected to inhalation exposure to hexane at a dose of 1/20 LC₅₀ revealed signs of acute inflammation accompanied by dystrophic, necrobiotic and necrotic changes in the covering epithelium of the villi, diffuse infiltration of the intestinal wall stroma, as well as erosive defects of the intestinal mucosa and smooth muscle layer with infiltration. Consumption of the specialized product levelled the pronounced quantitative and qualitative pathomorphological changes in the gastrointestinal tract of the experimental animals.
