The journal is included in the List of publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the publication of the main results of scientific activity (Order from 29.03.2021 №303).

The first editor of the journal was Tolegen Kazezovich Raisov. He is a Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor, Honoured Scientist and Engineer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Natural Sciences, Academy of Medical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academy of Informational support of Moscow, P.G. Sergiyev award winner, honorary freeman of East Kazakhstan region.
Zhumadilov Zhaksybai Shaimardanovich was the deputy chief editor. He is a Doctor of Medical Sciences, PhD in medical sciences, Japan, professor, member of editorial board of such international journals as “Rejuvenation Research”, USA, International Journal of Probiotics & Prebiotic, USA and “Central Asian Journal of Global Health”, USA.
First staff of the editorial board and editorial council did a great job on development of Mission and policy of the journal and requirements for publications. 
Types of published materials were identified: research outcomes, literary reviews, clinical cases, brief messages and reports of conferences related to clinical medicine and public health. During the years of journal existence, the main readership is biomedical scientific society, practical doctors, PhD and master’s degree students in Public Health and Medicine.
The traditions of the journal as chief editor were continued by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Murat Teleuov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tolebay Rakhypbekov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Ersin Zhunussov.
Adylkhanov Tasbolat (Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor), and Dyussupov Altay (Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor), Tolkyn Bulegenov (Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor) were on the post of the deputy chief editor.
Since 2015, the Improvement Project “Promotion of the peer-reviewed medical scientific journal “Science and Healthcare” to the world-class citation databases, including Scopus / Web of Science, has been in operation.
Since 2015, there has been an improvement project “Promotion of the peer-reviewed medical scientific and practical journal “Science & Healthcare” into the world’s ranking citation databases, including Scopus / Web of Science.” The scientific significance of published materials has increased. The heading “Methodology of Scientific Research” has appeared. Impact factor for 2020 according to the Kazakhstan citation database is 0.089. Of the eight medical journals indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index, the journal ranks first in terms of citations and in the Science Index rating. The two-year impact factor according to the Russian Science Citation Index for 2022 is 0.235. Five-year impact factor – 0.288. The journal practices double-blind peer review of articles, which improves the quality of published articles.
At the present time, the chief editor of the journal is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Dyussupov Altay.
Deputy chief editor is the Doctor of Medical Sciences Omarov Nazarbek.
Since the founding of the magazine Gorbatenko Andrei Evgenievich, Zhumabayeva Nurgul Serikkanovna, Essensarina Gulnariya Bayhanovna were responsible for the layout and the timely release of numbers.
Since 2009 Sapargalieva Elnura Fazilovna has been working as a Commissioning Editor.
Today, the journal is under the technical examination in several international indexed bases. New website of the journal, meeting the today’s requirements has been developed. We also create English version website, which makes it possible to increase number of readers.
We are planning to include our journal in Google Scholar, AMED, PubMed, DOAJ, Open Academic Journal Index, Scopus, Web of Science.
New editions of the journal, full articles and archive of news, announcements are available on our website. In addition, you can ask the question to the chief editor and submit an article.
