THE REASONS OF PLACING CHILDREN IN THE ORPHANAGE AND THE PERIOD OF STAY THERE
The paper presents the reasons of placing children in the orphanage and the period of stay them there. Among the reasons of placing children in the orphanage (for 0-3 ages babies) the first place - deprivation of parental rights, then - application for temporary raising in the group "Hope" for the period of 3 months, and the third place – exposing children, then - refusal of parents to raise a child in connection with the severe pathology of the child, then parents’ refusal to raise a child for other reasons, often due to poor financial situation, lack of a spouse. At the children’s home a hierarchy of causes of giving children to the state institution for upbringing is headed by deprivation of parental rights, the second place - death of one or both parents, and the third place - refusal of parents to raise a child for other reasons.
