TRANSVERSE ABDOMINIS PLANE BLOCK. LITERARY REVIEW
Introduction. The literature review highlights the issues of transversus abdominis blockage, anatomical aspects, classification, features of the introduction of local anesthetics, advantages, disadvantages, effectiveness of the technique in the postoperative period. Evidence of the transverse abdominis plane (TAP) block under ultrasound control is given. Aim: Review of modern literature on the anatomy of the blockade of the transverse space of the abdomen, classification, features of the introduction of local anesthetics, advantages, disadvantages and effectiveness of the technique in the postoperative period. Search strategy: Search and analysis of material for writing articles was carried out on information bases and web sites PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, European Journal Anaesthesiology, Journal Anesthesiology, BMC (biomedcentral.com). The depth of search work included data for the last 20 years, including sources from the 1980s, which are also included in the review, since they contain the first descriptions on the research topic and will be used for analysis. Articles are mainly in English. Of more than 110 literary sources, 74 were selected as analytical material for this article. Results: The transverse abdominis plane (TAP) block has anatomical features, variability of techniques, and provides high analgesic efficacy under ultrasound control with opioid-sparing effects in patients after laparotomic and laparoscopic operations. Conclusions: The transverse abdominis plane (TAP) block under ultrasound control ensures the safe administration of an anesthetic and high-quality anesthesia after laparoscopic and a number of laparotomic operations.
