KARAPANDZIK FLAP FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF LOWER LIP DEFECT. CASE REPORT
Squamous cell carcinoma is relatively widespread malignant tumour of the maxillofacial region. Cancer of the lip is one of the partial localizations of tumours in this area and lesions of the lower lip are more common than the upper lip. Reconstruction of large defects of the lower lip with good functional and aesthetic results is an important problem faced by the surgeon. The Karapandzik flap is one of the most effective methods for repairing large deffects in the lower lip. The Karapandzik technique is simple to perform and can be considered an acceptable option for the reconstruction of large defects in the lower lip with a good functional and aesthetic results.
