A CLINICAL CASE OF COVID 19 IN THE GESTATIONAL PERIOD
Introduction. Women, who are pregnant are at increased risk of severe COVID-19 disease. Pregnant women with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, are also more likely to be exposed to premature birth and an increased risk of complications. During a pandemic, stress, anxiety and depression can affect your health and the health of your child. Considering all of the above, it is necessary to conduct a full examination of the health of pregnant women, regardless of clinical manifestations. Case description. We present a clinical case of a woman in labor in 1992, with clinical manifestations of ARVI during the pandemic, but routine methods of diagnosis of COVID-19 have not been carried out. Conclusion. The placenta is a well-perfused organ that separates the blood circulation of the mother and fetus. SARS-CoV-2 infection can increase inflammatory and oxidative stress in the placenta, thereby jeopardizing both the course of pregnancy and causing abnormal placental development, which affects outcomes for the mother and fetus.
